Home

Hello Everyone:

This is the last blog, as we are now back home.

We will remember all the great people we met along the way, and all the great sites we saw.
It was a trip of a lifetime, and we are both glad we did it while we were healthy enough to do it.
We do live in a great country, and the people from coast to coast are the kind of people you are proud to call fellow Canadians.  While in the USA everyone we ran into said how much they love Canadians, and that is also something to be proud of.

Here are some stats that we gathered along the way:

we left here May 20/14 and arrived home Aug 31/14

we were gone 104 days
we camped in 56 different campsites
wrote 18 blogs
drove 21,285 Km
the truck ran for 360 hours and 13 minutes
we used 4,812.8 litters of fuel
averaged 22.6 L/100 km works out to about 10 miles per gallon
highest gas price we paid was $153.00 in Ontario - average was $129.00
We saw only one small fender bender in Quebec City, no major accidents
very little road construction
and we did not see a lot of wildlife
I think the most unusual animal we saw was a river otter running across a field

We both were healthy the whole time, did not even catch a cold.  We are still talking to each other so all in all the trip was a success.

Thanks for following this blog and we both hope it brought a smile to your face, or gave you the urge to travel.  We will keep on traveling as long as we can as we both enjoy it so much.

We have decided to sell this trailer, as we do not need all the fancy gizmos that it comes with, so if you know of anyone who wants a beautiful trailer, maybe to go south in?  Let us know.

Farewell

Judy & Doug
